I'm Bert Cardinaels, a 25-year-old developer from Hamont-Achel.
During my education, I’ve had a healthy mix of frontend and backend development. I favor frontend as I love providing the end-user with the most pleasant user experience they can get.
More recently I’ve taken a year off to work on myself with friends, family and a professional. I now feel more ready to tackle new challenges than when I just graduated.
I hope to find a new job in frontend development that challenges me in all the right ways and which provides me with a fun environment with a great team dynamic in which I can learn a ton.
In my free time, I keep myself busy with PC hardware, gaming, cycling, weightlifting, and woodworking (latest creation) .
The most well-rounded secondary education that I could get. Took extra math and science classes on top of the normal curriculum.
A logical next choice after my secondary education's focus. I did not finish this degree as I was much more interested in the few programming courses I took during this degree. I chose to pursue these interests.
After getting in touch with programming during my previous studies and embracing my interests in computers and technology, this degree had to be it. And this turned out to be my thing!
I wanted to add a bit more depth to my previous education. Unfortunately, this master’s degree strayed away too much from what I expected it to be. I think the depth I’m after comes more from work experience.
